  • What If we saw others through God's eyes

So How Should We Live Our Life? What if we could see others through God's eyes? Would we react differently? Would we be kinder? Would we be more understanding? Would we show compassion, love and caring? The Bible is a guidebook that teaches us that we should live our lives as Jesus did ... doing what the Father willed. That is how we should live our lives, and how we should react, and respond to others. So often we assume and make judgments, not knowing the truth. We don't see the whole picture. We err in making hasty judgments. Instead, we should let God's Holy Spirit dwell within us so that His discernment, love and kindness shines through in all our interactions. Luke 6:31 reminds us "as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them." And Colossians 3:12-14 reminds us to "pu...

Luke 6:31 reminds us "as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them." And Colossians 3:12-14 reminds us to "put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." Then "as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them" Luke 6:31. The Spirit of the Lord will rest upon him--the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord--and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears. Isaiah 11:2-3 Thanks to Fellowship Baptist Church for creating this video. US-China Trade Policy in the Trump Era - Free Trade or Trade War? Russell Leu discusses US-China trade policy in terms of history over the past two decades, and what may be changing with the incoming administration of President-Elect Donald Trump. Leu is Special counsel of the Beijing Representative Office of the law firm Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, and also serves as the vice dean for the School of Law at the Beijing Foreign Studies University. He has lived and worked in Beijing for 13 years and has worked to create stronger trade ties between his home state of Hawaii and China. Speaking to Jay Fidell, Host of Think Tech Global, Leu takes note of the ways in which Trump has already affected relations with China, and they discuss the different approaches that could be pursued in the coming years. While relations could continue as they have or improve, he warns that signs of what Trump intends could lead to difficulties, even leading to trade war between the two giants. Leu points out, for instance, that immediately after the US election, Donald Trump spoke by phone with the Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen. For decades US policy has been to tread lightly on the issue of Taiwan, and Trump's call was a direct violation of that policy, leading China's leadership to object bitterly. Taiwan has been self-governing and de facto independent since the end of China’s civil war. Beijing regards it as a renegade province. Even worse, Trump has hinted that the "One China" policy that has been demanded by China and accepted, at least tacitly, by the US, may be negotiable. President Tsai Ing-wen has since visited the US and met senior Republican lawmakers such as Senator Ted Cruz and Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Houston during her stopover. This has further exacerbated relations with the mainland, but even Taiwan experts have warned that this may be a move by Trump to use the Taiwan issue for American purposes, not as a move toward democracy for the island nation. This talk gives a broad overview of these issues and outlines the possible outcomes.
